Pattern Recognition

In the book, Cayce see the pattern recognition as a world around her, one that she is a part of, but does not understand. She is able to recognize the patterns, but without meaning, the patterns make no sense. She constantly notices them but without conprehending the full picture. She is drawn to them. As the story developes, more and more of the "plot" is revealed to her and her pattern recognition is now reinforced by further events. She is almost carried along the story, mostly only reacting to events and seeing the patter but not having any control over the events themselves.

Shawn I think that your response is very insightful. You state that Cayce can recognize what is going on around her and respond to it, but not fully understand the process.

i think you make a good point about her not seeming to have any control and being carried along. insightful indeed.
